Job Title: Construction Onboarding Coordinator
Job Description
The Construction Onboarding Coordinator supports high-volume employee onboarding for a construction and industrial workforce. This role processes I-9 documentation, maintains employee records, assists with new hire orientation, and provides comprehensive administrative support to ensure a smooth, compliant, and positive onboarding experience for new employees on complex, large-scale projects.
Responsibilities
Complete and verify I-9 documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
Facilitate employee onboarding, including coordinating and processing new hire paperwork.
Scan, organize, and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
Support and help deliver orientation presentations and onboarding sessions for new hires.
Provide administrative and office support to HR, operations, recruiters, and project teams.
Manage high volumes of onboarding activity while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Enter and update employee information in HRIS and related systems in a timely and precise manner.
Communicate professionally and courteously with new hires, internal stakeholders, and workforce partners.
Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure new employees are onboarded quickly and compliantly for field assignments.
Assist with document management, recordkeeping, and workforce administration tasks related to construction and industrial projects.
Essential Skills
3+ years of onboarding or workforce administration experience.
2-5 years of experience in administrative support, onboarding, HR coordination, recruiting coordination, or workforce administration.
Expertise in I-9 verification and E-Verify processes.
Experience with employee onboarding in high-volume environments.
Proficiency in data entry and use of HRIS systems.
Strong administrative support skills, including clerical and office administration.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service mindset with the ability to support employee relations.
Organization and time management skills suitable for high-volume workforce administration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree preferred.
Experience working in or with staffing agencies.
Exposure to construction, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or other field-based workforces.
Experience in such roles as Onboarding Coordinator, HR Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Staffing Coordinator, Workforce Administrator, Human Resources Assistant, or Administrative Coordinator.
Experience with document management and employee records management.
Experience supporting new hire orientation sessions and presentations.
Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills are highly preferred.

Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based and supports high-volume onboarding, compliance, and workforce administration activities for construction and industrial projects. You will work in a collaborative setting with frequent interaction among HR, operations, recruiters, project teams, and other internal stakeholders. Occasional visits to training locations or project sites may be required to support onboarding events, meet field personnel, and stay connected to the operations and projects being supported. The environment is fast-paced and detail-oriented, with regular use of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems to manage documentation and employee records.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $31.25/hr.
