Work Schedule : Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Ally Internship Program guides and mentors students with development opportunities and experiences that support your career interests while also driving the business forward. As part of our Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to:

The Details
Internship Program Timing: May 25th - July 30th, 2027
40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days
Project-based work
Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify
Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.
Areas of Opportunity
Consumer Underwriting - this group evaluates, negotiates, and decisions consumer offerings within Ally's underwriting policies to further grow application and contract volume. They build and maintain a portfolio of dealers and provide best-in-class relationship management for their assigned territories.
Portfolio Management/Dealer Management - facilitate the delivery and management of products and services to automotive dealers, including lines of credit for vehicle inventory, equipment, working capital and real estate loans, and commercial insurance products, to assist in dealership operations. Roles and responsibilities include credit underwriting, new business development, loan closing, payment processing and account management
Inventory Auditor - This group is responsible for conducting and supporting collateral audit activities across Ally's commercial automotive portfolio. Interns will assist with reviewing dealership inventory records, validating collateral information, analyzing audit findings, maintaining audit documentation, and supporting compliance with internal controls and policies. The team partners with dealers and internal stakeholders to identify risks, resolve discrepancies, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of wholesale floorplan collateral and related security documentation.
The Qualifications We're Looking For
Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program.
Major/Course of Study: Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates Analytical Thinking, Collaboration, Learning Agility.
Available for the full duration of the internship program.
Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
