Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Job Description
This Administrative Assistant role supports a high-end office environment by maintaining efficient workflows, coordinating administrative projects, and serving as a professional point of contact for executives and visitors. The position requires a committed, service-oriented individual who combines strong organizational skills with a welcoming, polished presence.
Responsibilities
Maintain workflow by studying existing methods, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing cost-effective procedures.
Create and revise office systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements, then implementing approved changes.
Develop administrative capabilities by sharing information, encouraging participation in educational opportunities, and supporting experiential growth for administrative staff and colleagues.
Resolve administrative problems by coordinating the preparation of reports, analyzing data, identifying issues, and recommending or implementing effective solutions.
Ensure the smooth operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks, coordinating repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques as needed.
Provide accurate information by answering questions from colleagues, executives, and visitors in a professional and timely manner.
Manage office supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
Support daily operations by scheduling and assigning administrative projects, tracking progress, and expediting work results to meet deadlines.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops, reviewing professional publications, building personal networks, and participating in professional associations when appropriate.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment by assisting with related tasks and projects, and stepping in to support colleagues as needed.
Greet and interact with executives, clients, and visitors in an outgoing and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the office.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very high-end office space that hosts a significant number of executives and leaders. The environment is professional, polished, and fast-paced, requiring consistent courtesy, discretion, and professionalism. The Administrative Assistant regularly interacts with high-level individuals and must be prepared to communicate clearly and confidently in person, over the phone, and via email. Professional attire is expected to align with the executive-level office setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
