Material Handler

Pay: $18.00/hr starting pay, increasing to $20.00/hr upon direct hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

No weekends or mandatory overtime!

Position Overview

Seeking dependable Material Handlers to join their team in a brand-new, climate-controlled facility in North Charleston. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build warehouse experience, learn forklift operation, and work toward long-term employment with a growing company.

No forklift experience? No problem. They provide forklift training for motivated candidates looking to grow their skills.

Responsibilities

Receive, move, and organize incoming materials and products.

Pull and stage materials for customer orders and shipments.

Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

Maintain accurate inventory by placing materials in designated warehouse locations.

Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and damage.

Assist with shipping and receiving operations.

Learn and safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus but not required.

Ability to lift, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to learn forklift operation and warehouse processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
