A respected Orange County law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about immigration law and enjoys advising clients on complex employment-based and family-based immigration matters. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, collaborate with clients and legal staff, and provide strategic counsel throughout the immigration process.

Key Responsibilities

Manage employment-based and/or family-based immigration matters from intake through final adjudication

Prepare and review petitions, applications, filings, and supporting documentation

Advise clients on immigration strategies, compliance requirements, and case options

Handle H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, adjustment of status, consular processing, and family-based matters, as applicable

Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other government inquiries

Conduct legal research and provide guidance on complex immigration issues

Communicate regularly with clients, government agencies, and foreign nationals regarding case status and requirements

Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff

Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with USCIS, DOL, DOS, and EOIR requirements

Maintain accurate case records and client communications

Requirements

Qualifications

Active California Bar membership preferred

3+ years of immigration law experience

Experience handling employment-based and/or family-based immigration matters

Strong knowledge of USCIS, DOL, DOS, and immigration laws and regulations

Experience preparing complex immigration petitions and applications

Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills

Strong client service and communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Experience with immigration case management software preferred
