Job Title: Assembler - Electrical Control Panels
Job Description
This hands-on role focuses on assembling electrical control panels, wiring harnesses, and related components used in industrial automation systems. You will build and wire panels, route harnesses, and install mechanical components while following detailed schematics and work instructions to deliver high-quality, reliable control systems.
Responsibilities
Assemble electrical control panels, wiring harnesses, and related components for industrial automation systems.
Build and route wiring harnesses, including cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and terminating cables.
Connect drivers and electrical components inside control panels and junction boxes (no programming required).
Perform wiring inside control panels, junction boxes, and Dixel panels in accordance with schematics and diagrams.
Follow wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and written work instructions to complete assemblies accurately.
Install and secure mechanical components such as coil pumps, heat trace elements, and enclosures.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly for mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
Assist in layout, mounting, and assembly of panel frames, hardware, and electrical devices.
Perform self-checks on completed work to verify accurate wiring, correct terminations, and clean panel layouts.
Maintain safe work practices and comply with all facility safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of hazards while supporting efficient workflow.
Support basic troubleshooting of wiring and mechanical issues related to control panels as needed.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience working in a control panel shop environment.
Proven panel building experience with electrical assembly and wiring.
Strong electrical and wiring skills, including harness building, terminations, crimping, and routing.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
Experience with industrial controls or automation components.
Familiarity with heat trace systems, Dixel systems, or similar panel build environments.
Mechanical assembly skills, including installation and securing of pumps, heat trace elements, and enclosures.
Comfort and proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed wiring and assembly work.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
Dependability with excellent attendance and clear communication.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, accurate panel layouts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience assembling control panels in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience troubleshooting basic wiring and mechanical issues in control panels.
Familiarity with standard operating procedures and quality checks in a production environment.
Comfort working with industrial control panel hardware and related electrical devices.
Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient work area.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and adapt to changing production priorities.

Work Environment
This position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed to provide a comfortable and safe work setting. You will work on electrical control panels and related assemblies using a variety of hand and power tools, following established safety policies and standard operating procedures. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to quality standards, with work performed primarily on your feet and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
