Job Description Summary
The Advanced Nuclear Senior Project Manager will have a focus on deployment
and execution projects in support of GE Vernova's small modular reactors
(SMR). This role will report to the Project Management Director, while supporting
the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design
and construction of the SMRs around the world.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
On-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
Maintain Project Risk Register to communicate and mitigate overall project risk level
Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
Develop and issue the Project Work Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
Project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director
Ensure compliance with U. S. export control and other requirements as applicable
Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
Minimum 3 years managing medium- to large-scale projects (with multi-disciplinary team and project)
Eligibility Requirements:
Domestic and International travel up to 25%
The preferred work location for this role is at GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) Headquarters in Wilmington, NC but highly qualified U.S. remote eligible candidates will be considered.
This role requires access to U.S. export - controlled information, if applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export - controlled information from the U.S. government.
Desired Characteristics:
PMP Certification
Nuclear power industry experience in operations or engineering
Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design
Experience with commercial negotiations
Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve complex problems
Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, managers, and team members
Ability to distill complex information and focus on critical priorities
Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy, based on best available information
Experience working in a matrixed environment
Well-developed planning and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $132,200.00 and $220,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
