Responsibilities As a Administrative Management Specialist - HR Liaison (Recent Graduate), you will perform the following duties: Serve as a developmental Human Resources (HR) Liaison providing coordination and advisory services related to personnel management. Assist with research of segments of the larger administrative operation to provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of personnel programs and office work products. Coordinate outreach activities with communication, public affairs, or other specialists as directed. This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). This system replaced the Federal GS pay plan and structure. Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band. The ZA-2 is equivalent to the GS-07/09. If selected for non-competitive conversion to a permanent or term position, this position has promotion potential to the ZA-3, which is equivalent to the GS-11/12. Eligibility Requirements: In order to be eligible for an appointment under the Pathways Recent Graduate Program you must meet the following requirements: You must be a recent graduate who has completed, within the previous two years, an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution such as an accredited technical or vocational school; a 2- or 4-year college or university; a graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school); or a post-secondary home school curriculum; or completed a qualifying career or technical education program, including Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Job Corps, and Registered Apprenticeships. Note: Certificate program is defined as post-secondary education in a qualifying educational institution equal to at least one academic year of full-time study that's part of an accredited college-level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum. This experience need not have been in the federal government. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: One full year of graduate-level education. OR SUPERIOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: Demonstrated by a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with one of the following. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of successfully completed graduate-level education and specialized experience may be used to meet the total experience requirements.
