Description

We are looking for a Patient Access Specialist to support front-end patient access operations for a short-term Contract position. This role focuses on creating a smooth experience for patients by coordinating registration, appointment-related support, and insurance-related intake activities. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable handling administrative tasks in a healthcare setting while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and guide patients through registration and intake steps to ensure accurate record creation and updates.

Coordinate appointment-related activities, including scheduling support and confirmation of necessary demographic and coverage details.

Review insurance information and verify benefits to help prevent delays in care or billing issues.

Assist patients with access-related questions and provide clear direction on required forms, documentation, and next steps.

Maintain complete and accurate patient records while following healthcare privacy standards and internal procedures.

Use administrative systems and service platforms, including ServiceNow, to document requests, resolve issues, and track workflow items.

Communicate with clinical staff, payers, and internal teams to address registration discrepancies and support timely patient access services.

Requirements - Previous experience in patient registration, patient access, or a similar healthcare administrative role.

Working knowledge of medical insurance verification and common health insurance processes.

Ability to assist patients professionally and communicate clearly in person, by phone, or through written correspondence.

Experience handling patient scheduling or appointment coordination in a medical environment.

Familiarity with patient registrar responsibilities, including accurate data entry and record maintenance.

Comfort using digital systems and platforms such as ServiceNow for case tracking or support documentation.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. TalentMatch®
