Responsibilities The Phoenix Mental Health Service is seeking qualified psychologists to join their General Mental Health team at a variety of locations. The incumbent will provide a wide range of clinical services and consultations as a member of the Mental Health Medical Staff. This position serves the outpatient mental health clinic but may also include after-care and post-hospitalization clinical duties. NOTE: The 2-page Resume requirement does not apply to this position. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provides a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients with psychiatric disorders. Provides education to patients, family members, and significant others. The psychologist will provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic EBP) interventions. Provides consultation to professional staff within Phoenix VAMC or Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and to community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders.
