Summary You will serve as a Administrative Officer with National Park Service, Herbert Hoover National Historic Site Administration located in West Branch, Iowa. Responsibilities Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Performs the full range of administrative functions in support of the park's core functions and services as the principal advisor and management consultant to the Superintendent and Leadership Team. Applies laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to keep the park's revenues and spending in balance through authoritative advice and supervision of the staff of the Administration/Business Office dedicated to budget and financial management. Serves as the principal advisor and consultant on all aspects of budget and financial management. Leads or directs unique and/or critical management planning activities to include complex and highly sensitive tasks and projects. Serves as the primary liaison with the Servicing Human Resources Office (SHRO), coordinating the identification and communication of needs and receipt of HR services from the SHRO. Serves as the point of contact for all acquisition actions issued by the park several of which are highly complicated and complex. Verifies and reviews contracting packages for submission to the Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO). Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: providing a wide variety of administrative and business services to enable efficient operation of a park or program office; providing supervision and direction to an administrative staff in support of a park or program office; advising on business management processes including budget and financial management; coordinates the procurement and property management, information technology and human resources needs and requirements for a park or program area; and developing and formulating alternative solutions to complex administrative matters. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
