Kelly Services is hiring an Electrical Technician to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced unmanned aircraft systems and electronic subassemblies.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building wire harnesses, soldering, terminating connectors, working with PCBs, troubleshooting electrical systems, and turning engineering designs into functional proto@type hardware .

What You'll Be Doing
As an Electrical Technician, you'll support engineers by building, installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components used in proto@type unmanned aircraft.
Your work will include:
Wire Harness & Cable Fabrication
Build proto@type wire harnesses and cable assemblies
Cut, strip, crimp, solder, splice, terminate, and label wiring
Assemble connectors, contacts, terminals, backshells, and related hardware
Build assemblies from schematics, pinouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
Modify proto@type cables and harnesses as designs evolve
Route wiring with proper strain relief, protection, service loops, and separation
Perform continuity, polarity, resistance, and basic electrical checks
PCB & Electronics Assembly
Prepare proto@type PCBs for installation
Install electronic boards, flight controllers, avionics modules, and power distribution hardware
Perform basic PCB rework and component or connector replacement
Support PCB bring-up and functional testing
Apply and inspect conformal coating
Mask connectors, test points, switches, and mounting surfaces as required
Troubleshoot electrical issues at the board, connector, and system level
UAV Integration & Testing
You may support the installation and testing of systems such as:
Flight controllers
ESCs
Power distribution systems
GNSS / RTK equipment
Telemetry radios
Cameras
Pumps and actuators
Sensors
Other avionics and electronic systems
You'll also:
Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, and other diagnostic equipment
Assist with bench, ground, and flight testing
Diagnose wiring, power, connector, and communication issues
Build temporary electrical test setups
Perform proto@type modifications and repairs
Document wiring changes, hardware updates, and test results

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

Automotive electrical systems
High-current battery and power wiring
CAN communication
Ethernet
PWM
Shielding and EMI-conscious wiring practices
Braided sleeving and strain relief
Flight controllers
ESCs
GNSS / RTK systems
Telemetry radios
Sensors and companion computers
Experience with connector families such as Molex, JST, Amphenol, Hirose, D-sub, circular connectors, or similar systems is also valuable.

Troubleshooting problems without always having a perfectly defined answer
Communicating closely with engineers
Documenting changes and test results
Supporting proto@type and flight testing activities
Traveling domestically or internationally when needed
Physical & Work Environment
This position combines office, lab, and hands-on engineering environments.
Candidates should be comfortable:
Sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
Working at a computer as needed
Performing detailed hands-on electrical assembly
Working around mechanical equipment and proto@type systems
Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
Wearing required PPE
Working around occasional noise, vibration, and changing temperatures
Supporting proto@type builds, testing, and troubleshooting activities
