QA Tester

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Tester for an onsite position. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API automation, database testing, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum framework.

Required Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in REST API automation testing (Karate or REST Assured).

Preferred Qualifications

Thrives in a fast-paced environment, is flexible, and is a strong team player.

Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with high attention to detail.

Adept at mentoring junior QA engineers and partnering across engineering teams.

Experience with the full SDLC and working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Experience with API contract testing, Swagger/OpenAPI.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) for API testing.

Experience testing with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).

Familiarity with API mocking tools (WireMock/MockServer).

Exposure to security testing concepts (OWASP API Security).

Experience in banking/financial services, payments, or regulated enterprise applications.
