The Right Candidate Will Bring:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the applicable state licensing board
Long-term care experience preferred
Current required certifications and credentials

Responsibilities
Why This Role Matters
Registered Nurses at Bear Mountain provide skilled, compassionate care while helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
As an RN, you will:
Resident-Centered Nursing Care
Provide direct nursing care to residents utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation
Complete comprehensive assessments and monitor changes in resident condition
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility policies
Monitor and document vital signs, clinical observations, treatments, and resident responses
Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity, and self-esteem
Recognize and respond to changes in physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
Support residents with chronic conditions, rehabilitation needs, and complex healthcare challenges
Clinical Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, rehabilitation teams, and other healthcare professionals to support resident outcomes
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care team members
Educate residents and families regarding care needs, treatment plans, and health management
Promote resident participation in their healthcare decisions whenever possible
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
Quality Care & Professional Practice
Follow all federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures
Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support Bear Mountain's QAPI practices
Maintain required education, certifications, and professional competencies
Follow safety standards and infection prevention practices
Support a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment
Qualifications
(RN - Registered Nurse):
Credentials as a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a current State license required.
Registered Nurse (RN) Training and work experience in a geriatric setting preferred.
Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel required.
Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required. Caring, respectful attitude towards residents required.
Physical stamina for constant activity required.
Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
Demonstrated willingness to uphold the vision and mission of the company by following the core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Passion for Excellence and Reverence for the Individual is required.
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
