Sales Operations Manager: Planning & SFDC

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Commercial Operations Analytics & Salesforce Manager to drive data-driven decision making across the commercial organization. This role owns reporting, forecasting, analytics, and Salesforce (SFDC) strategy, ensuring the CRM serves as the single source of truth for pipeline, revenue, customer, and operational data. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with Salesforce expertise to deliver actionable insights, improve commercial processes, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the Salesforce platform as the business lead, ensuring data integrity, adoption, and alignment with commercial objectives.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs that provide visibility into sales performance, pipeline health, forecasting, and operational effectiveness.

Lead forecasting, planning, and scenario modeling activities in partnership with Sales, Finance, and Operations leaders.

Partner with executive leadership to establish key performance metrics and drive a data-driven decision-making culture.

Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting, analytics, and commercial performance insights.

Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, CRM workflows, and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to optimize integrations between Salesforce, ERP, BI platforms, and other business systems.

Define and enforce CRM data governance standards, including opportunity stages, naming conventions, field requirements, and reporting structures.

Translate commercial business processes into scalable Salesforce workflows and system enhancements.

Drive Salesforce adoption through training, documentation, change management, and ongoing user support.

Design and maintain Salesforce reporting architecture to support forecasting, territory management, pipeline visibility, and executive reporting.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, financial planning, commercial operations, or business intelligence.

Experience serving as a Salesforce business owner, power user, or CRM lead within a commercial organization.

Proven track record building reporting frameworks, forecasting models, and performance measurement systems.

Strong knowledge of Salesforce reporting, dashboards, objects, relationships, and data governance best practices.

Experience translating business requirements into CRM enhancements and workflow improvements.

Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Proficiency with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Experience working with ERP systems and enterprise data integrations.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Experience within waste management, logistics, transportation, or service-based industries preferred.
