We're looking for anAdministrative Assistant 2 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency, creating a welcoming environment for veterans, visitors, and staff, and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly. This position is directly supervised by a Veterans Assistance Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an Administrative Assistant, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors.
In this role, you will:
Performs recurring clerical/administrative duties to include: screening telephone calls and recording messages and refer to appropriate staff
Prepares and files routine visitors log sheets
Responsible for establishing and maintaining files
Keep records of internal office reports and correspondence
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
Schedule appointments and assist with completing state benefit forms
Assist office visitors requiring routine responses or assistance

Career Progression: This position doesnot participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
