Test Technicians are a hands-on technical expert who plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of electronic assemblies and finished medical devices. Partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams, this position tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves products throughout the production process while helping solve complex manufacturing challenges. The day to day responsibilities will include:
Execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Functional Test Procedures (FTPs), and production validation testing.
Perform functional, electrical, and performance testing of assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products.
Troubleshoot test failures and manufacturing issues to support production throughput and quality objectives.
Support engineering builds, pilot runs, and new product introductions (NPI).
Collect, document, and analyze failure data to identify
trends and support root cause investigations.
Support Quality and Engineering investigations through detailed technical documentation and product evaluation.
Assist in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of test methods, fixtures, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
Operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and custom test fixtures.
Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Verify calibration status of test equipment prior to use.
Perform board-level soldering, rework, component replacement, and repair activities.
Evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and document customer returned products in accordance with approved service procedures.
Generate accurate manufacturing, service, and quality records within ERP and quality systems.
Identify, document, and report nonconformances and support corrective and preventive action activities.
Support onboarding and training of new technicians.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Service teams to improve product reliability,
manufacturability, and process efficiency.
Follow all safety, ESD, quality system, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Requirements
Experience in medical device manufacturing or another regulated industry.
Experience supporting design verification or validation testing.
Familiarity with FDA Quality Management System Regulation (QMSR), 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485.
IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, or equivalent electronics manufacturing certifications.
Experience supporting process validation, failure analysis, CAPA activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. - Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent technical training and experience considered.
Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics testing, manufacturing testing, troubleshooting, or production support.
Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, diagnostics, and manufacturing test practices.
Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and related test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, test procedures, and technical documentation.
Familiarity with firmware loading, device configuration, serial communications, and software-based diagnostic tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, ERP, and electronic quality systems.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform detailed work requiring visual inspection and fine motor skills.
Ability to occasionally lift and move materials or equipment up to 40 pounds.
Ability to safely work with electronic assemblies, test equipment, and computer systems.
