Job Description
The Maintenance Technician repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation across the facility.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and testing methods.
Repair equipment and components promptly to restore proper operation and reduce disruption to production or services.
Inspect machinery and systems regularly to identify potential problems and address them before failures occur.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to maintain accurate service records.
Follow safety procedures and best practices while working with electrical and mechanical systems.
Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex maintenance issues and support continuous improvement.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance role.
Strong electrical skills, including the ability to work safely with electrical systems and components.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment and system issues.
Hands-on experience performing maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on a variety of equipment.
Ability to read and follow instructions, procedures, and basic technical information related to maintenance tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety while working with tools, machinery, and electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
Willingness to learn new equipment and technologies as needed.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
