Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for helping others in a time of need? If so, we are looking for you to join our dedicated and compassionate team! As a Registered Nurse you will provide professional nursing care while assessing the needs of patients and developing individualized plans that meet the needs of the ones we serve. You will also participate and assist in implementing the care and treatment that has been determined by nursing staff and supervisors within the hospital.

Responsibilities include:

Perform ongoing assessments of each patient's biopsychosocial needs

Develop initial nursing plan of care

Perform charge nurse duties

Apply interventions identified in the treatment plan and document all nursing care

Facilitate and co-facilitate group programming

Interact respectfully with all patients while maintaining professional boundaries

Provide input on patients' progress and recommend any changes to the treatment plan

Participate in discharge planning with the patient and other team members

Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.

Minimum Qualifications

Possess or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota. Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a mental health setting

REFERENCE/BACKGROUND CHECKS - The Department of Human Services will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and criminal background check prior to appointment.

EDUCATION VERIFICATION - Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their high school diploma at time of interview OR copies of their college transcript or college degree/diploma at time of interview. Copies of the college degree/diploma are acceptable ONLY if it clearly identifies the field in which it was earned.

Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) healthcare facilities require employees to provide documentation that they are free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment. DCT does not accept TB skin testing.
