This entry-level Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant role offers the opportunity to support a fast-growing organization's corporate accounting team. You will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Accounts Payable function, working closely with vendors and internal partners to ensure invoices, payments, and related documentation are processed accurately and on time. Responsibilities
Monitor and respond promptly to Accounts Payable-related emails from vendors and internal business partners.
Assist in researching and resolving invoice and payment inquiries, ensuring clear and timely communication of outcomes.
Review and reconcile vendor statements, identifying outstanding items, discrepancies, and necessary follow-up actions.
Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice status, payment updates, and documentation requirements.
Track and follow up on pending approvals and invoice-related issues to help ensure timely processing.
Maintain accurate and organized records of vendor communications, account activity, and supporting documentation.
Perform data entry of Accounts Payable information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Support document management and filing activities for Accounts Payable records, both physical and electronic.
Assist the Accounts Payable team with special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by addressing questions and concerns professionally.
Help ensure invoices and supporting documentation are processed accurately, completely, and within required timeframes.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of office or administrative experience.
Demonstrated experience with data entry and clerical tasks in an office environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and entering financial or transactional information.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing responsive and professional service.
Basic understanding of office administrative practices and procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Exposure to accounting duties, such as working with invoices or financial records, is a plus.
Prior Accounts Payable or invoicing experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes, including invoice status tracking and vendor statement reconciliation, is beneficial.
Experience providing administrative support within an accounting or finance team is an advantage.
Comfort using office software and systems to manage data entry, document management, and email communications.
Work Environment
This role is fully on-site at an office location in the Overland Park area, working within a corporate accounting setting. You will be part of an Accounts Payable group of more than 15 team members, collaborating closely with colleagues and leadership in a structured, professional environment. The position supports a fast-growing organization, offering exposure to modern office tools, systems, and processes used in Accounts Payable and administrative support. The workday is conducted in a traditional office setting, with standard business attire typically expected, and you will interact regularly with both internal departments and external vendors.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
