Laboratory Technician

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Ashland, VA - Onsite

Compensation: $22-$30 an hour (commensurate with experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices and programs

Prepares samples using standard techniques

Performs chemical analysis using standard techniques

Calculates data

Records and reports data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor

Performs routine instrument maintenance

Requirements

Bachelor's required - chemistry preferred

Industry experience with metals, ICP, GC, or other instrumentation, or research projects/internships involving metals/GC/instrumentation

1-3 years of experience
