Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This entry-level warehouse role supports a specialized label manufacturing operation serving the food, music, and medical industries. You will start as a warehouse helper and have the opportunity to grow into a press operator or develop into a leadership role over time. The position is ideal for a sharp, motivated individual who learns quickly, takes initiative, and is interested in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the current warehouse lead to learn daily operations and warehouse processes.
Support staging and preparation for press operations by ensuring materials are correctly pulled and organized.
Pull materials and components needed for production according to job tickets and inventory records.
Receive inventory, verify quantities and condition, and ensure items are accurately recorded and stored.
Palletize products and materials in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
Shrink wrap pallets and finished goods to prepare them for storage or shipment.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized warehouse to support efficient operations.
Assist with general labor tasks such as packing, material handling, and order picking as needed.
Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials.
Communicate clearly with team members and production staff to coordinate material flow.
Learn and follow production, packaging, and warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.
Complete forklift certification through company-provided training and operate forklifts safely once certified.
Demonstrate initiative and make a strong, positive impression by proactively learning new tasks.
Contribute to inventory control by helping track stock levels and reporting discrepancies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of the printing industry is a plus.
Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with packing, inventory, material handling, order picking, and general labor is beneficial.
Experience with shipping and receiving, including palletizing and shrink wrapping, is an advantage.
Experience with production and packaging environments is helpful.
Familiarity with forklifts, loading operations, and warehouse communication practices is a plus.
Strong interest in developing into a press operator or future leadership role within manufacturing.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing warehouse environment in Itasca, operating on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You work around printing and production equipment, pallets, and inventory storage areas, performing tasks such as material handling, packing, palletizing, and shrink wrapping. The environment is active and hands-on, with a focus on safety and organization. You will use warehouse tools and equipment, including forklifts once certified through company-provided training. The setting is typical of a production and warehouse facility, where practical, comfortable work attire suitable for physical tasks and safety requirements is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
