Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment for construction-related products. This position focuses on order picking, palletizing outgoing orders according to pick tickets, operating a sit-down forklift for loading and unloading trailers, and supporting inventory control and local deliveries. The role involves handling products of various shapes and sizes and requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds as part of daily operations.
Responsibilities
Pick and pack orders accurately according to pick tickets, ensuring the correct products and quantities are prepared for shipment.
Palletize outgoing orders in a safe and organized manner to support efficient transportation and delivery.
Handle construction-related products that vary in shape and size, using proper lifting and material handling techniques.
Lift and move items weighing up to 70 pounds as part of regular warehouse activities.
Operate a sit-down forklift to safely load and unload trailers and move materials throughout the facility.
Perform general material handling tasks, including loading, unloading, and staging products for shipping and receiving.
Use RF scanners and related equipment to track inventory, confirm picks, and maintain accurate records.
Support inventory control efforts by assisting with counts, checks, and organization of stock.
Assist with shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing goods.
Participate in deliveries of product to local vendors and companies in the Billings area, ensuring orders arrive in good condition and on schedule.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and performing warehouse tasks.
Maintain a clean, orderly work area and contribute to an efficient warehouse workflow.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of order picking and packaging experience in a warehouse setting.
Proficiency in order picking and packing processes, with attention to accuracy and detail.
Experience with inventory tasks, including organizing and tracking stock.
Material handling skills, including safe lifting techniques for items up to 70 pounds.
Ability to safely load and unload trailers and other vehicles.
Experience in shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse environment.
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with RF scanners for order and inventory processing.
Reliable work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfort working with construction-related products of varying shapes and sizes.
Experience assisting with local deliveries and interacting with customers or vendors.
Strong organizational skills to support inventory control and warehouse cleanliness.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy warehouse environment.
Willingness to learn additional warehouse tasks and grow into other roles over time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
