Medical Office Assistant

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $20-$24/hour

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Northeast Medical Group is hiring a Medical Office Assistant to support a busy Pulmonary/Internal Medicine practice in Greenwich, CT. This is a great opportunity for someone with medical office or clinical experience who enjoys working directly with patients and supporting daily healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist patients throughout their visit

Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments

Perform patient follow-up calls as needed

Process prior authorizations and assist with insurance-related requests

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Support providers and office staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Complete data entry and administrative tasks within the electronic medical record system

Assist with general front-office and patient support functions

QualificationsRequired

Previous experience in a medical office, physician practice, or healthcare environment

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Experience with scheduling and patient interaction

Proficiency with computers and data entry

Preferred

Experience supporting Pulmonary, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care practices

Familiarity with EMR systems

Prior experience with insurance verification or prior authorizations

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwich, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
