We are looking for an experienced Transactional Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy legal team in Minnesota. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in transactional legal support who can manage documentation, coordination, and day-to-day administrative tasks with accuracy and discretion. The role focuses on assisting with corporate and transactional matters while helping maintain organized files, complete documentation, and ensure timely follow-through on legal processes.

Responsibilities:

Support attorneys and legal staff with a range of transactional matters, including preparing and organizing agreement-related documents.

Maintain legal files by opening new matters, updating records, and keeping documentation properly stored and accessible.

Track signature status on agreements and follow up to ensure all required approvals and executed documents are received.

Assist with document retrieval by locating contracts, supporting materials, and other legal records as requested.

Handle filing activities and help keep legal documentation accurate, complete, and easy to reference.

Provide administrative assistance to the legal team through scheduling, correspondence, and general office support tied to transactional work.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department supporting transactional legal work.

Prior experience assisting with contracts, agreements, or other corporate transaction documentation.

Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage files, track deadlines, and maintain organized records.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and related business tools.

Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Experience in corporate transactions or transactional law support is strongly preferred.
