Job Title: Construction Technician Job Description
This is a client-facing Construction Technician role based in Towson, Maryland, focused on loading, transporting, assembling, and disassembling party and tent rental equipment at various job sites. You will perform heavy labor tasks, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and help maintain an organized warehouse environment while supporting event setup and site preparation.
Responsibilities
Load trucks each morning with all required party and tent equipment and materials for the day, ensuring nothing is missed.
Transport equipment from the shop to various job sites and represent the company professionally in a client-facing capacity.
Assemble and set up party and tent rental equipment at schools, country clubs, event venues, and other locations.
Disassemble party and tent rental equipment safely and efficiently at the end of each event or job.
Reload trucks with all equipment and materials at the end of the day, confirming everything is accounted for.
Organize and store materials and equipment properly upon returning to the warehouse to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Perform physically demanding construction-related labor, including tasks associated with concrete, asphalt, roofing, and site development as needed.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly in support of setup, breakdown, and site preparation activities.
Work outdoors for the duration of the shift, adapting to changing weather and site conditions.
Follow instructions from supervisors and complete other duties as assigned to support daily operations and project needs.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2+ years of heavy labor experience in construction or a similar physically demanding environment.
Ability to lift over 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
Experience with construction-related work such as concrete, asphalt, roofing, and site development.
Strong reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work until the job is completed without shift restrictions.
Capability to work safely with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and interact professionally with clients on-site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any additional heavy labor experience beyond the minimum requirement is a plus.
Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
Background in general construction labor, general labor, or site development work is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills for managing materials and equipment in trucks and warehouse spaces.
Good communication skills for client-facing interactions at job sites.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
