What to ExpectAs an Associate Manager of Production Control, you will have the responsibility to design and oversee material handing functions at Gigafactory New York. You will lead a team of Supervisors and take a KPI driven approach toward meeting daily operational objectives. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, NPI, Maintenance, and various other supply and logistics organizations to solve problems, drive continuous improvement, and to achieve production targets.This Associate Manager role is execution and people leadership for assigned warehouse / material handling areas and shifts. You run the day: set clear expectations, develop Supervisors, and deliver consistent results inSafety,People, andAccuracywhile hitting operational and financial targets for your span of control. You remove barriers on the floor, improve how work is done in yourareas, and identify, escalate, andsolve forsystemic issues, capacity risks, and cross-area needs - with facts, impact, and a proposed path. What You'll Do Design and oversee material handling for your assigned warehouse(s) and logistics areas so standards are clear on shift, consistent across Supervisors, and followed in practice. Execute operational plans aligned to GFNY production priorities and department goals. Convert plans into daily/weekly priorities, resource alignment, and Supervisor ownership; review results and adjust as demand changes. Flag when plan assumptions break and need next-level decisions. Own delivery in your span of control and provide timely floor input on risks, constraints, and improvements Lead Supervisors with a KPI-driven approach: clear goals, regular performance reviews, timely coaching on gaps and wins. Be on the floor enough to know whether the standard is real. Build a strong Production Control team; develop Supervisors and Leads who can run the shift to standard Drive issues in your areas to closure through root cause analysis with action, owner, due date, and verification that the fix sticks. Partner cross-functionally (including inventory control and process partners) to improve processes, clear production bottlenecks, and increase productivity. Escalate repeat, systemic, or high-impact blockers with data - do not paper over recurring misses Safety:Non-negotiable. Lead a proactive safety culture across powered equipment and warehouse operations in yourareas. Stop unsafe work, close hazards, never trade safety for speed or output, and ensure Supervisors do the same. Model the standard on every floor walk so people go home safe every shift People:Hire, coach, and performance-manage Supervisors and teams in your span to a high standard - clear expectations, regular 1:1s, timely feedback, early action on gaps. You are accountable for the quality of leadership yourSupervisorsprovide on shift Accuracy:Own execution quality so material and transactions are correct - right item, right place, right quantity. Hold a high standard for how material is handled, stored, and moved so inventory records and floor conditions can be trusted. Enforce process discipline on shift; partner with Inventory Control and Process Engineering on recurring errors; escalate process/system gaps you cannot fix alone Own operational and financial KPI performance for your assigned areas (labor efficiency, trailer/overflow, scrap, transaction accuracy, downtime risk, dock performance, and other area KPIs). Make targets visible, review trends, drive countermeasures, and escalate off-track performance with a recovery plan.
