Job Description
This night shift Industrial Maintenance Technician role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and electronic systems in a modern industrial facility. You will support continuous production by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment issues, and assisting with installations and upgrades on extrusion presses, furnaces, saws, and related fabrication and auxiliary equipment. This is a multi-craft position that requires strong industrial maintenance experience, solid electrical skills with 480V systems, and the ability to work independently on a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and electronic systems in an industrial environment.
Perform preventive maintenance on extrusion presses, furnaces, saws, and other fabrication and auxiliary equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
Inspect and maintain air compressors, cooling water systems, and extrusion press operations on a daily basis to ensure reliable performance.
Follow the preventive maintenance schedule and prioritize repair activities in coordination with plant leadership.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery, including motors, sensors, switches, and photo-eyes.
Support machine installation and modification projects to improve safety, efficiency, and overall equipment reliability.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including hoses, valves, cylinders, and related components.
Work with 480V, 3-phase electrical systems, including motors, VFDS, and control circuits, in accordance with safety standards.
Perform PLC troubleshooting to identify and resolve control system issues and support production uptime.
Use schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to guide troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and related documentation accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Assist with welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment maintenance and modification.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term solutions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and strictly follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.
Participate in ongoing training and development activities to stay current with new equipment, technologies, and maintenance best practices.
Essential Skills
At least 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with multi-craft responsibilities.
At least 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience, including work with 480V systems.
Demonstrated experience performing machine repairs in an industrial setting.
Strong mechanical skills, including mechanical machine operation and basic fabrication.
Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair.
Ability to work safely with 480V, 3-phase electrical systems, motors, and VFDS.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting to support equipment control systems.
Ability to troubleshoot motors, sensors, switches, and photo-eyes.
Experience with industrial maintenance on equipment such as extrusion presses, furnaces, and related machinery.
Basic understanding of Fanuc robotics and their integration with production equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Experience with machine installation and repair in an industrial environment.
Capability to perform preventive maintenance and use a CMMS to document work.
Solid troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Willingness and ability to work night shift hours (6 p.m.-6 a.m.)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with welding and basic metal fabrication to support equipment repair and modification.
experience working with extrusion equipment, presses, and related industrial machinery.
Familiarity with combustion systems used in industrial furnaces.
Exposure to Fanuc robotic systems beyond basic understanding is a plus.
Comfort working with electronic control systems and industrial automation components.
Prior use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders and preventive maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills for recording maintenance activities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
