Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support utilities operations in Rialto, California. This Contract position offers a 30-hour workweek and is well suited for someone who can manage administrative tasks efficiently while providing responsive service to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, accuracy in data handling, and the ability to communicate professionally in a fast-paced government environment.

Responsibilities:

Enter large volumes of information into department records and systems with a high level of accuracy and consistency.

Receive incoming phone calls, direct them to the appropriate contacts, and respond professionally to routine inquiries.

Prepare and submit purchase requisitions to support departmental operational needs.

Assist customers with billing concerns and service-related questions by providing clear and timely information.

Provide day-to-day administrative support for the utilities team, including document handling, correspondence, and record maintenance.

Monitor and organize email communications through Microsoft Outlook to help maintain timely follow-up and coordination.

Use Microsoft Excel to update, track, and maintain departmental data and reports as needed. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in an administrative support or office support role.

Proven ability to perform data entry work with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience handling inbound calls and managing inquiries in a detail-oriented manner.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar-related tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for basic tracking, data updates, and reporting support.

Experience creating or processing purchase requisitions is required.

Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. TalentMatch®
