The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight of Medicaid program integrity functions, including screening, audits, intake, and investigations. This role ensures compliance with federal and state requirements, strengthens fraud prevention and detection efforts, and promotes accountability through cross-agency collaboration and data-driven oversight.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop, maintain, and manage data-driven systems and oversight for the internal Medicaid investigations team, assuring investigationsareguidedby analytics,conductedeffectivelyandconsistentlyandalignwithstateandfederalrequirements.
ManagetheIntakeand PreliminaryInvestigations Teambyimplementingdatadrivenpracticestooptimize Department of Human Services (DHS)resources,prioritize cases, and ensure efficient and effective handling of program integrity concerns.
OverseetheHomeandCommunityBased ServicesEarlyandOftenteam by providingleadership,directionandoversighttoensure effective operations.
ManagetheMedicaidProvider Screeningteam.
Direct otheractivitiesasassignedbytheAssistant DeputyInspectorGeneral, ProgramIntegrityOversight Division.
Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership experience
Leadership experience can include:
Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;
Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);
A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:

Five (5) years of providing direction to a work unit responsible for investigatory, compliance, or program integrity activities in Minnesota Health Care Programs or a comparable setting.
AND
Experience must demonstrate the following:
Develop, maintain, and manage data-driven systems and oversight to tract program integrity across work unit.
Leading, supervising, or coordinating teams.
Developandmaintain workingrelationshipswithinternalandexternalpartners.
Leveragedataanalyticstoidentifytrends, prioritizereferrals,and/or allocateinvestigativeresources.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of regulatory aspects of state and federal policies to Minnesota Health Care Programs and the publicbenefit programs administered by DHS.
Understanding of governmentaloperationsandstructure,statutoryauthority,thestateandfederallegislativeprocessesandrulemaking.
Implement and evaluate practical solutions in a politically and programmaticallycomplex environment.
Knowledge of assistancefundingand provider @types and requirements.
Understanding of principles of administrative management, planning, budgeting, fiscal control techniques and participatory management processes with professionals.
Provide effectiveleadership that inspires a teameffort toward accomplishingdivision goals and objectives.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
