Accounting Assistant

Job Description

The Accounting Assistant reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager as a temporary assignment with the possibility

of permanent employment. This position requires reliable, detailed work in a variety of accounting and administrative

tasks in a faced-paced accounting environment.

Perform high-volume, accurate data entry.

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Process invoices and maintain financial records.

Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies.

Prepare and update spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel.

File and organize accounting documentation.

Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department.

Skills and Requirements

Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. - Entry-level accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.

Experience with Quickbooks software is a plus.
