Job Title: Skilled Labor - Commercial Framing and Drywall Specialist
Job Description
This role focuses on commercial construction projects, specializing in framing structures and installing drywall in fast food restaurants and other commercial buildings. You will read and interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, build wall and ceiling frameworks, and hang, finish, and repair drywall to meet project specifications. You work efficiently on active job sites, follow safety standards, and ensure all work complies with commercial construction codes and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to understand framing and drywall requirements.
Measure, mark, and lay out materials accurately for walls, ceilings, and partitions.
Build and install wall and ceiling frameworks using metal stud framing and other structural materials.
Hang drywall panels on walls and ceilings in commercial spaces, including fast food restaurants and other commercial buildings.
Perform drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting or final finishes.
Carry out trim work and finishing details to meet commercial quality standards.
Install and work with acoustical ceilings according to specifications.
Perform rough-in work related to drywall and framing as required for the project.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and assembling materials.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications, quality expectations, and applicable commercial construction codes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on active job sites.
Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Follow all safety procedures and site rules throughout each shift and during overtime work.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for commercial construction projects.
Strong ability to perform metal stud framing for walls and ceilings.
Ability to hang drywall efficiently and accurately in commercial environments.
Experience with drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, sanding, and surface preparation.
Skill in framing, finishing, and trim work to meet commercial quality standards.
Experience with acoustical ceiling installation and related tasks.
Competence in performing finish drywall and rough-in work.
Hands-on experience using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform accurate measuring and layout work on active job sites.
Capability to work efficiently in busy, active commercial job sites while following safety standards and construction codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience working on commercial construction projects, such as fast food restaurants and other commercial buildings.
Familiarity with commercial construction codes and quality expectations.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, first-shift role, typically Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available throughout the week based on project needs. You work primarily on active commercial job sites, including fast food restaurants and other commercial buildings, where you regularly use hand and power tools, metal studs, drywall materials, and acoustical ceiling components. The environment is fast-paced and physically active, requiring you to move materials, work on ladders or scaffolding as needed, and maintain awareness of other trades and equipment operating nearby. Safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment are essential parts of the daily routine.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $21.00/hr.
