Hours:

Rotating 7:30-4:00, 8:00-4:30, 8:30-5:00.

Summary:

The Front Desk Team Lead is responsible for providing administrative support and leadership in the fulfillment of the daily front desk activities of the medical group. Key areas of accountability shall include: Patient Reception, Patient Accounting, Project Management, Customer Service and Front Desk Reception Operations. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times. Works collaboratively with the Practice Administrator and other Department Managers to help ensure that the medical group's administrative and customer service objectives are fulfilled in a highly effective manner. The Front Desk Team Lead must be highly organized and able to multitask in an environment of frequently changing priorities and program initiatives.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required

Associate's degree with an emphasis in Health Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Health Care Policy or Medical Office Management is preferred

EXPERIENCE

One (1) to three (3) Years Private medical office experience, CPT Coding knowledge and medical terminology required

Minimum of 3-5 years medical office administrative experience is strongly preferred in an Internal Medicine or a Specialty practice setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Strong knowledge of medical office terminology, technology and operations

General knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security rules

Thorough knowledge of Human Resource Policies and Regulations

Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all related parties

Ability to promote positive work environment through exquisite interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and maintain composure while working under demanding conditions which may involve supporting multiple objectives, physicians, and satellite offices

Can adapt to changing circumstances

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all related parties

Strong telephone communication skills

Demonstrated computer skills and related software & technology including: printers and other peripheral devices and MS Office Suite

Ability to navigate and retrieve data from an (Electronic Medical Record) EMR system

Ability to utilize the Internet to send email and conduct basic research

Basic keyboarding skills with a minimum typing proficiency of 30 wpm

Possesses strong organizational and time management skills

Project Management skills

Leadership capabilities

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to travel to and work at other Trinity Medical facilities and/or physician practice offices

Work is performed in an office environment with normal light, heat and air. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Exposed to a variety of electro-mechanical hazards, odorous chemicals and specimens, housekeeping cleaning agents/chemicals, and unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness)

May be exposed to: infections and contagious diseases; biohazardous, radioactive substances; toxic chemical (photocopier)

Subject to: many interruptions

Occasional exposure to unpleasant patient or elements

Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances

Occasionally subjected to irregular hours

Handles: absentee replacement on short notice; emergency/crisis situations (potential patient violence)

Increased pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
