As a Security Officer State County City Licensed Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor interactions. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and reliable support while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Mon07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Tue07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Wed07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Fri07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.

Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials as directed and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and daily activity documentation.

Communicate professionally with facility staff, contractors, and the public while following applicable policies, procedures, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
