Summary This position is located in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NA V ARCS) located in Prescott, AZ. This position is part of Maintenance and Operation Section of Facilities Management Service. The primary purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to perform journeyman Pipefitter and Plumber work. Responsibilities Duties to include, but not limited to:The journeyman Pipefitter and Plumber performs alterations, construction, repairs, and modification of high temperature water and high-pressure piping systems such as hydraulic, nitrogen, oxygen, steam-heating, and steam-generating systems, utility, supply, and disposal systems, fixtures, fittings, and equipment such as sewage, water, gas, and oil lines, compressed air, vacuum, and acid systems, water closets, water heaters, hydrants, valves, and pumps. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 am - 04:30 pm Position Description Title/PD#: Pipefitter/PD10378A Physical Requirements: Work requires good coordination and good physical condition. The incumbent is required to walk, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and work in uncomfortable positions and to pull, reach over and lift supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. The incumbent must work from ladders, scaffolds, platforms and in hard to reach places.
