Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of professional relevant work experience OR an associate's degree plus eighteen months related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. An associate degree could substitute for 6 months of experience, a bachelor's degree is 12 months, and a master's degree is 18 months within any of the following disciplines: information technology, business or related field.
Two (2) years of experience working with complex records systems and interactive technology, including work building and using queries, and experience preparing schedules for academic programming.
Experience scheduling meetings and managing communication with stakeholders.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills sufficient to: Provide prompt, welcoming, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail and other written correspondence.
Knowledge and skill in data entry/spreadsheets sufficient to: Perform functions accurately using software such as Microsoft Excel to develop and modify spreadsheets, set up queries, extract information and produce reports from a variety of sources.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and focus on complex issues in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to analyze complex information, research answers to problems and/or concerns, and/or create reports for management.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, business or related field.
Knowledge of systems such as Database management, database administration, and system data interface.
Knowledge of the Minnesota State Faculty Contract, or employment contracts associated with collective bargaining.
Understanding of higher education processes, policies, and culture, including those that pertain to curriculum development and academic portfolio management.
Knowledge of academic programming.
Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Karen, Karenni, Somali, Pohnpeian, French, Nuer, Anuak, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.
Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
