The Manufacturing Technician supports reagent process development and transfer activities by executing laboratory and manufacturing tasks related to reagent production. This role focuses on wet lab work, including reagent preparation, sample processing, testing, and documentation, while following established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards. The technician collaborates closely with process development, manufacturing, and quality teams to help transfer and verify processes that support next-generation sequencing products. This position offers hands-on experience in a regulated biotech environment and contributes directly to cutting-edge molecular diagnostics and sequencing technologies.
Responsibilities
Execute wet lab activities such as reagent preparation, solution preparation, sample handling, and testing in support of reagent production processes.
Follow established SOPs and laboratory protocols to perform experiments accurately and consistently.
Support process transfer activities by executing experiments, collecting data, and documenting results for reagent production processes.
Assist with process verification efforts by performing laboratory procedures, recording observations, and supporting data review.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including batch records, laboratory notebooks, and manufacturing records, in compliance with GMP and GDP requirements.
Ensure all work adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and relevant ISO or quality standards.
Support reagent process development activities by collaborating with scientists and process development personnel on laboratory studies and experiments.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to help implement and refine reagent production processes.
Collaborate with quality teams to support quality control testing and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Follow structured procedures and documentation expectations in a fast-paced biotech environment.
Contribute to process improvement efforts by providing feedback on laboratory workflows, documentation practices, and reagent production processes.
Perform repetitive laboratory tasks with consistency while maintaining high quality standards.
Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while working in laboratory and manufacturing areas.
Participate in cross-functional interactions with process development, manufacturing, and quality teams to support technology transfer and ongoing production activities.
Support operations related to reagent production for next-generation sequencing and molecular diagnostic applications.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or related life sciences environments.
Hands-on wet lab experience performing pipetting, reagent preparation, sample handling, solution preparation, and testing activities.
Ability to follow laboratory protocols and SOPs accurately and consistently.
Experience with GMP and GDP documentation, including accurate completion of batch records, laboratory notebooks, and manufacturing records.
Understanding of basic laboratory practices and techniques in a scientific or regulated environment.
Experience supporting manufacturing, reagent production, quality control testing, or laboratory operations.
Strong attention to detail when performing experiments and completing documentation.
Effective written documentation skills for recording data, results, and observations.
Ability to follow SOPs and perform repetitive laboratory tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with biotechnology manufacturing processes and reagent production workflows.
Comfort working in a laboratory and manufacturing environment with structured procedures and documentation expectations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
Exposure to regulated environments such as GMP, ISO, or other quality-regulated settings is preferred.
Experience with process transfer support, including executing experiments and collecting data for process development and verification.
Familiarity with ISO or similar quality standards in a laboratory or manufacturing @context.
Interest in next-generation sequencing, genomics, and molecular diagnostics technologies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with process development, manufacturing, and quality teams in a cross-functional setting.
Motivation to gain experience in GMP manufacturing and process development within the biotech, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industries.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and documentation requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position in a collaborative laboratory and manufacturing environment. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, working first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The technician works in a fast-paced biotech setting with structured procedures, defined workflows, and clear documentation expectations. The environment involves close cross-functional interaction with Process Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, providing exposure to reagent process development, technology transfer, and GMP manufacturing operations that support next-generation sequencing and molecular diagnostics.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $29.00/hr.
