Electrical Commissioning Manager

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems are installed, tested, and operating according to design specifications, client requirements, and project objectives.

Day to Day:

Lead all electrical commissioning activities from construction completion through project turnover.

Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and execution strategies.

Coordinate commissioning efforts between owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and equipment vendors.

Oversee startup, functional testing, integrated systems testing, and final acceptance of electrical systems.

Review electrical drawings, specifications, test procedures, and commissioning documentation.

Track commissioning progress and ensure all testing activities are completed on schedule.

Identify and resolve commissioning issues, deficiencies, and system conflicts.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience in electrical commissioning on large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, mission-critical, or data center projects.

Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, transformers, protective relays, and medium-voltage systems.

Experience with startup, testing, and turnover processes.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning documents. Plusses:

CxAlloy experience

Forma (ACC AutoDesk) experience
