Job Title: Warehouse Logistics Manager Job Description
This role leads end-to-end warehouse logistics operations in a high-volume e-commerce and distribution environment, overseeing receiving, inventory management, kitting, packaging, returns, and shipping for a rapidly growing promotional products fulfillment company. You will manage a complex operation that supports approximately 500 fulfillment orders daily, over 15,000 SKUs, 25+ client inventory programs, and 30+ Shopify-based e-commerce stores, serving both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business customers. As a highly visible leader, you will drive operational efficiency, KPI performance, scalability, and continuous improvement while playing a key role in future warehouse expansion and overall profitability.
Responsibilities
Manage daily warehouse functions including receiving, inventory control, quality assurance, kitting, packaging, returns, and shipping to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Ensure all fulfillment activities consistently meet customer delivery expectations and service level agreements (SLAs) for both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business orders.
Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, and workflow design to maximize efficiency, reduce handling time, and support high-volume operations.
Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy across multiple client accounts and product lines, including over 15,000 SKUs and 25+ client inventory programs.
Oversee job scheduling across warehouse departments, balancing workloads and resources to meet daily order volume and special project requirements.
Communicate operational updates, performance metrics, and key issues to internal stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
Hire, onboard, train, and develop warehouse associates, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support needed to perform at a high level.
Establish clear performance expectations, accountability standards, and metrics for warehouse staff, and monitor results regularly.
Conduct ongoing employee coaching, performance evaluations, and development planning to build a strong, engaged, and high-performing team.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and teamwork throughout the warehouse.
Manage relationships with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight providers, and local couriers to support reliable and cost-effective shipping.
Coordinate fulfillment schedules and customer-specific packaging requirements, including custom kitting and branded merchandise programs.
Monitor shipping performance, turnaround times, and order accuracy metrics, and take corrective actions when needed.
Use NetSuite WMS and related fulfillment systems to plan, execute, and monitor warehouse operations, ensuring data accuracy and process consistency.
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse workflows, quality processes, and safety practices.
Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implement scalable process improvements using Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies where applicable.
Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, fulfillment accuracy, labor productivity, shipping performance, turnaround times, and gross profitability metrics.
Partner with company leadership to scale warehouse operations in line with business growth, including facility expansion and process redesign.
Support the onboarding of new client programs and fulfillment initiatives, ensuring smooth integration into existing operations.
Assist with workforce planning and capacity management, including staffing levels, cross-training, and scheduling strategies to meet current and future demand.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, sales, marketing, and management to align warehouse capabilities with broader business objectives.
Promote and enforce OSHA and safety standards, and lead initiatives to maintain a safe and compliant warehouse environment.
Contribute to an ownership-minded culture by engaging in profit-focused decision-making and supporting open-book management practices.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment management experience in e-commerce, distribution, 3PL, or other high-volume warehouse environments.
Proven experience managing complex inventory operations with thousands of SKUs across multiple client accounts or programs.
Demonstrated background overseeing receiving, picking, packing, kitting, returns, and quality control functions in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Strong team leadership experience, including supervising warehouse staff, setting performance expectations, and driving performance improvement.
Hands-on experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics coordination, and e-commerce fulfillment.
Proficiency in KPI management and operational analytics, including tracking and interpreting metrics such as inventory accuracy, fulfillment accuracy, labor productivity, and shipping performance.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), with a strong preference for NetSuite WMS.
Ability to manage carrier relationships and coordinate shipping through UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight providers, and local couriers.
Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement efforts and support continuous improvement initiatives in a warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong NetSuite WMS experience, including configuration, reporting, and daily operational use.
Experience working with Shopify and managing fulfillment for multiple Shopify-based e-commerce stores.
Exposure to 5S, Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies, with Lean Six Sigma preferred.
Experience supporting multiple customer accounts or fulfillment programs, particularly in a 3PL or promotional products environment.

OSHA and safety leadership experience, including implementing and maintaining safety programs in a warehouse setting.

Experience in kitting and assembly operations, particularly for custom promotional or branded merchandise programs.
Previous roles such as E-Commerce Fulfillment Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, Distribution Center Manager, Logistics Manager, 3PL Operations Manager, Fulfillment Center Manager, or Inventory & Logistics Manager.
Ability to thrive in a hands-on leadership role, comfortable working on the warehouse floor while managing strategic initiatives.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
