1st Shift - Field Service Technician - 40% Travel
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical expertise for our customers, focusing on the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of industrial pneumatic conveying, exhaust, and exhaust filtration systems. This role requires approximately 40% travel to customer facilities across the United States, with time spent at our Canton facility when not traveling.
Responsibilities:
Travel to customer facilities throughout the United States to install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service work on pneumatic conveying systems, exhaust systems, and filtration equipment.
Diagnose and repair components including industrial blowers, cyclone receivers, elbow receivers, diverter valves, vacuum systems, motors, and related equipment.
Lead equipment startups and system commissioning activities, ensuring proper airflow rates, mechanical functionality, and operational performance.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
Assist with assembly, wiring, and testing of equipment and control panels at the Canton facility when not traveling.
Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Document service work, inspections, repairs, and startup activities.
Maintain a professional relationship with customers while serving as the primary field representative of the company.
Follow all company and customer safety standards while working in industrial manufacturing environments.
Essential Skills:
3+ years of field service, industrial maintenance, installation, or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, or industrial production equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with pneumatic conveying systems.
Experience with industrial exhaust or filtration systems.
Familiarity with PLC and HMI troubleshooting.
Experience wiring electrical control panels from ladder diagrams.
Manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or field service.
Experience working in food processing, industrial manufacturing, or material handling environments.
Ability to quickly learn new equipment and technologies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
