You will perform a variety of duties that support the District's administrative and support services in the headquarters office in the areas of property, budget, mail, supply and facilities management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the position of Administrative Services Specialist, at GS-0301-9/11, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Must be able to attain and retain at least a level 1 (one) Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) as a federal contracting professional. FAC-C has specific training requirements with some courses online as well as classroom courses. The person selected is expected to obtain a FAC-C within one year of the date of hire. To maintain a FAC-C, contract professionals are required to meet the continuous training requirement. GS-9: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal service. To qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year. GS-11: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: experience entering and tracking budgetary data; preparing a variety of reports concerning the status of funds, expenses or obligations; overseeing property inventory; planning and procuring office equipment, supplies, and/or furniture and projecting/analyzing space needs based on proposed initiatives, staff changes, and technology improvements. Education: One of the following @types of education in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance): Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M, if related. Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high schooleducation and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11.
