Warehouse Operator - Sit-Down Forklift
This position is ideal for an experienced Warehouse Operator who enjoys a balance of forklift operation and hands-on warehouse work. You'll spend most of your day operating a sit-down propane forklift while supporting accurate order fulfillment, inventory control, and safe material handling in a modern, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities
Operate a 5,000 lb propane sit-down forklift safely and efficiently for roughly 60% of the workday
Perform general warehouse duties for the remaining 40% to support daily operations
Pick customer orders accurately, ensuring correct items, SKUs, and quantities
Use RF scanners to track, locate, and manage inventory with precise data entry
Pull pallets by SKU and organize them in designated storage areas
Conduct cycle counts to verify stock levels and resolve discrepancies
Work within WMS and ERP systems to manage inventory and maintain accurate records
Put away inbound goods in proper storage locations
Repack orders to meet customer specifications and ensure secure transport
Create and apply labels to products, cartons, and pallets
Split cases from pallets and sort items into correct locations
Support shipping and receiving by handling materials, verifying items, and organizing inbound/outbound goods
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Essential Skills
3-5 years of warehouse experience focused on material handling and inventory control
3-5 years of sit-down propane forklift experience
Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, tracking, and data entry
Hands-on experience with WMS and ERP systems
Strong order-picking accuracy by SKU and quantity
Inventory control experience, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution
Forklift certification or ability to obtain/maintain certification
Basic Microsoft Excel skills for data entry and reporting
Ability to perform shipping/receiving tasks including packing, labeling, and material handling
Commitment to safe operation around material-handling equipment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfortable working in a technology-driven warehouse environment (WMS, ERP, RF scanners, Microsoft Office)
High attention to detail in picking, labeling, and inventory documentation
Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly storage and clear aisles
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and support multiple warehouse functions
Effective communication with team members to ensure smooth operations
Willingness to complete on-site forklift recertification and ongoing safety training

Operations follow CTPAT-certified standards emphasizing secure, compliant, and well-documented processes. The environment is clean, organized, and designed for safe movement of goods, with clearly marked storage locations and well-maintained aisles.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
