Position Summary
The Parts Warehouse and Planning Manager oversees daily warehouse operations and leads strategic inventory demand planning. This role ensures maximum parts availability for the service teams while keeping carrying costs minimal. The ideal candidate blends hands-on warehouse floor management with analytical forecasting, data system management, and team leadership. The manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain inventory integrity and optimize material flow.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Functional Responsibilities
Oversee floor execution: Supervise daily receiving, put-away, picking, packing
Oversee end to end part availability, maintain appropriate service levels of parts.
Main contact between global parts supply team and Americas, advocate and coordinate for urgent backorders, mitigate backorder impact to region.
Manage part life cycle in ERP, partner with Master Data Management to facilitate the expedited set-up of new items, and sunset discontinued items.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, and receiving variances.
Maintain stocking levels of parts inventory by reviewing part demand.
Maintain proper documentation for incoming shipments, including international and regulated materials.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase receiving efficiency and inventory accuracy and update SOP where necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with procurement, production, service, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on material needs
Support audits and certification processes through proper documentation and processes
Approve requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment within department budget limits
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
Achieve successful staff results by consistently communicating job expectations. Provide feedback and guidance to grow and enhance team success.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
7-10+ years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain
Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse operations
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
Understanding of supply chain fundamentals
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and develop team members
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
