As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Situational Awareness in New York, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.80 - $18.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Sat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest corridors, parking areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.

Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

A Guard Card or license is preferred.

A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
