Summary You will serve as a MAIL CLERK in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPT COMMAND ADMIN DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will initiate controls to prevent the unauthorized use of official mail. You will be responsible for leading the activities of a command centralized mail room, in accordance with Navy and Postal Services requirements You will maintain locator files for military personnel and ensure these files are secured, properly maintained and utilized. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of regulations concerning safe guarding and handing of official mail; Knowledge of numerous official mail regualtions governing strict accountability of mail; knowledge of command oganizational structure, mission and functions; knowledge of various typles of forms and materials in order to process and deliver official mail; knowledge of legal, technical and professional subject matter to classify materials and to route materials to subject matter specialists; knowledge of operating electronic computer equipment in performing a variety of input tasks, to include Federal Express, reports, correspondence, tracing mail and resolving discrepancies.
