Temporary Front Desk Coordinator

Location: Pleasanton, CA

Estimated Duration: 3-4 weeks

Robert Half's client in Pleasanton is seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator to provide temporary coverage during an employee leave of absence. This role will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees while supporting daily front office operations and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Greet and welcome visitors, assist with registration and badge assignments, and direct guests to the appropriate staff members.

Provide accurate information to visitors and callers via phone, email, and in person.

Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area at all times.

Follow company safety procedures and assist with office security protocols.

Sort and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing packages, including UPS deliveries and shipments.

Perform general administrative duties including typing correspondence, photocopying, filing, and data entry.

Support office operations and assist with additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and manage priorities.

Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements - Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative support role.

Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and communicate clearly with callers and visitors.

Strong customer service skills with a detail-oriented and approachable demeanor.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for routine office and communication tasks.

Accurate data entry skills and careful attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work effectively with staff, guests, and vendors.
