Job Title: Warehouse Inventory Handler Job Description
This role focuses on managing and organizing warehouse inventory, ensuring all items are accurately accounted for, properly stored, and readily available to support production goals. You will handle automotive parts and components, maintain accurate stock records, and work closely with other team members to keep operations running smoothly in an industrial warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and organize incoming automotive parts and materials within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory records by entering and updating data in inventory management systems.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
Track stock levels and notify appropriate team members when supplies need replenishment to support production goals.
Ensure all items are properly labeled, stored, and staged in designated locations for efficient retrieval.
Inspect incoming and stored items for accuracy, quality, and condition, and report any issues or damages.
Coordinate with warehouse and production team members to fulfill internal orders and support daily operations.
Follow established procedures for receiving, storing, and shipping automotive parts and components.
Move, lift, and handle items safely, including weights up to 25 lbs, while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Use inventory management software and related tools to locate items, process transactions, and generate reports.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in an industrial environment with automotive parts and scrap materials.
Support cross-training initiatives by learning additional warehouse and production tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
Experience in general production, laborer, or warehouse roles.
Proficiency using inventory management systems and software.
Ability to perform receiving, order entry, and inspection tasks accurately.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of automotive parts and components.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
Ability to successfully complete basic matching and math assessments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with automotive parts, cores, or scrap materials.
Familiarity with industrial warehouse processes and safety practices.
Comfort working in a physically active role that involves standing, walking, and handling materials throughout the shift.
Willingness to participate in cross-training across multiple departments.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coventry, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
