Job Title: HVAC and Electrical Technician Job Description
This role focuses on inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and electrical systems in modular buildings and mobile office trailers. You will ensure all units are safe, fully operational, and ready for customer use by performing detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Responsibilities
Inspect and test HVAC systems and electrical systems in modular buildings and mobile office trailers to verify proper operation.
Diagnose and repair issues related to heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and electrical systems to restore full functionality.
Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, electrical panels, lighting systems, breakers, outlets, and wiring to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections to ensure all units are fully operational, compliant with standards, and ready for customer use.
Perform electrical and HVAC troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately.
Repair or replace defective electrical and HVAC components, including wiring, breakers, and related parts, in a safe and efficient manner.
Install and route electrical wiring and conduit, including bending conduit, according to schematics and applicable codes.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics and diagrams to complete installations and repairs correctly.
Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and local electrical codes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly handling tools, materials, and equipment.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC, electrical maintenance, construction, or a related field.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, air conditioning, and ventilation components.
Solid understanding of electrical theory, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures.
Hands-on experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment for troubleshooting and verification.
Experience with HVAC diagnostic tools to identify and resolve system issues.
Ability to safely operate power tools and hand tools in a construction or maintenance environment.
Proficiency in installing, wiring, and repairing electrical systems, including outlets, lighting, and panels.
Ability to bend and install conduit accurately and safely.
Skill in reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to identifying root causes.
Attention to detail and commitment to performing work that meets safety and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in construction environments, modular buildings, or mobile office trailers.
Experience performing preventative maintenance programs on HVAC and electrical systems.
Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and local electrical codes.
Comfort working both independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Strong communication skills to document work performed and report issues clearly.

Work Environment
This role is based in a hands-on, shop and field environment focused on modular buildings and mobile office trailers. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
