What You'll Do
As a Mechanical / Electrical Technician, you'll help assemble and wire industrial equipment from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble industrial machinery using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
Perform mechanical assembly, including mounting, aligning, and securing components
Install and wire electrical components, control panels, and electromechanical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
Install gauges, valves, solenoids, fittings, and other mechanical components
Measure, mark, and lay out equipment for accurate assembly
Build and install piping, tubing, pumps, and pumping system skids
Cut and install hoses and other system connections
Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and rigging equipment safely
Use tack welders and stud guns as needed during assembly
Complete daily production and labor reports
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, machinery, or a related field
Electrical wiring or panel wiring experience
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience using common hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with industrial machinery, heat-treat furnaces, or heavy equipment
Electromechanical assembly experience
Forklift or rigging experience
Pipe assembly, tubing, or pump system experience
Welding or stud gun experience
Experience in a union manufacturing environment

Work Environment & Schedule
Clean, well-lit manufacturing facility
Team-based work environment, typically working alongside 1-2 technicians
Monday-Friday schedule with regular overtime opportunities
Occasional Saturday work based on production needs
Training is typically conducted on 1st shift
Shift assignments may move between 1st and 2nd shift based on business needs and union seniority
Current 2nd Shift Hours:
Approximately 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM (10-hour schedule)
Shift premium available after direct hire eligibility

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cherry Valley, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.51 - $22.51/hr.
