Job Title: Electrical Production Technician Job Description
This role is a 1st-shift position working four 10-hour shifts with optional overtime on the fifth day. As an electrical production team member, you support in-house manufacturing operations by performing electrical work on industrial machinery, including conduit installation, wire pulling and termination, equipment wiring, and gas pipe fitting. You play a key role in ensuring that equipment is built accurately, safely, and delivered on schedule.
Responsibilities
Install all electrical conduit on industrial machines prior to shipping, ensuring proper routing and secure mounting.
Wire safety devices, disconnects, transformers, motors, and other electrical components according to schematics and wiring diagrams.
Pull, terminate, and label wires in accordance with electrical standards and internal procedures.
Install gas piping for all gas burners, including threading and cutting pipes required for burners on various industrial washers.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to complete machine-building tasks accurately.
Perform occasional small maintenance tasks around the shop, such as repairing extension cords, wiring welders, and installing or troubleshooting electrical outlets.
Collaborate with production team members to meet build schedules and support efficient shop operations.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication with the team and leadership.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accountability to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with electrical codes.
Follow all safety procedures and standards while working with AC/DC electrical systems and industrial equipment.
Essential Skills
2-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of NEC 70 for sizing wire and running conduit.
Hands-on experience with AC and DC electrical systems, working with voltages up to 480 VAC and down to 24 VDC.
Practical experience working with electrical motors, primarily 208/230-240 VAC and 480 VAC.
Proficiency in running and installing conduit on machinery.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
Strong ability to work under little supervision while also contributing effectively in a group setting.
High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machine building within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Familiarity with wiring safety devices, disconnects, transformers, and motors on industrial equipment.
Basic gas pipe fitting skills, including threading and cutting pipes for gas burners.
General electrical troubleshooting skills for shop equipment such as welders, extension cords, and outlets.
Comfort working in a manufacturing facility with industrial machinery and tools.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
